Detailed Plans
Your erection drawings are the most important resource for constructing your steel framing. Our drawings are comprehensive but easy to read even for those with little experience. They include detail drawings for the different types of connections in your home as well as sections and elevations for major assemblies. They will specify the same part numbers as those on your bill of materials and on the parts themselves, making it easy for your erector to follow the design. The cover sheet will list all the specifications for the home as well as any important instructions or restrictions. These plans are the definitive guide to your home's design and should always be carefully followed.

Bill of Materials and Labeled Parts
The drawing package you receive shortly after your order enters make and ship status will include a complete bill of materials listing all the items to be shipped to you. This document gives the part numbers as well as the full specifications for each item. You will use this list to check off each item as you unload it. The parts themselves are clearly labeled with these same numbers, which also match the part numbers on your erection plans, making it easy to perform this important inventory and to construct your home as it was designed (do not use the driver's packing list to inventory).
Erection and Safety Manual
We will also supply you with a comprehensive erection and safety manual that covers almost every aspect of assembling a Kodiak Steel Homes® package. Well over 100 pages, this illustrated text contains diagrams, tables, and drawing samples that reinforce the instructions with useful examples. Based on our years of experience, the manual provides general guidelines for safely and properly erecting our designs; however, it is not intended as a reference for your particular home model. Always refer to your erection drawings for specific details on your home's construction.
