Series, Models, and Plans
To make it simple to identify a particular design, most Kodiak Steel Homes models have a series name, a model number, and floor plan letter. Each series designates a particular architectural design and has a name like "Aspen" or "Meadowbrook." A series may have two or more models that are different sizes, and these are usually identified by a number. For example, the "Pendleton 1" is 55' x 60' with 2916 square feet of enclosed space while the "Pendleton 2" is 55' x 80' with 3716 square feet of enclosed space. Finally, if we have more than one floor plan for the same model, these are usually distinguished by a letter. For instance, for the "Autumn View 2" we have floor plans, "A" and "B" (remember that our floor plans are only suggestions because our clearspan framing allows you to rearrange the interior walls any way you wish).

Creating Price Quotes
From the model page, you may also click the "Price Now" link at the top, which will take you to our new custom pricing system. You will need to establish an online account to access all its features. We need to know who you are so we can give you a private space to store and manage the quotes you create and any orders you place. We have to know where you are (or where you are going to build) so we can determine which of our manufacturing plants gives you the lowest combined cost for materials and shipping. Once you have created your account, you will be able to get accurate, delivered prices, save your price quotes to review or edit later, and even buy the home of your dreams online.

Choosing Packages and Features
After you've chosen a model and clicked the "Price Now" button, you will be asked to enter the zip code where you plan to build. Then the system will show you a selection of building codes and design loadings. If you think you know which one you need, choose it; otherwise just accept the default selection. In either case, check with you building inspector and confirm your permit requirements before you place an order. If you do not see the selection you need or have questions, call us. Once you have chosen your codes, you can pick the kind of home package you want to price:

  • Frame-only package — Get the red-iron framing that makes our homes the strongest, safest shelter you can build and add you own wall and roof materials
  • Full dry-in package — With our framing system, our steel roof system, steel or insulated vinyl siding, and reflective foil insulation, you'll have a complete shell except for the windows and doors.
  • Customize your wall and roof configuration — Get our framing system and then select the additional options you want. Get full or partial siding for any wall, and choose our roof system or provide your own.

Once you've selected the options you want, our system will determine the most cost-effective way for us to manufacture and ship your materials. With this optimized pricing, it will produce an itemized quote that you can save in your account to review or even buy later.
